In July 2007, EuroMena Limited Partnership acquired a minority stake in the Palestinian Stock Exchange. In 1996, a number of pioneers in the Palestinian private sector realized the importance of creating a well-regulated, up-to-date market for securities in Palestine, thus creating the PSE.
